Description

El trabajo que se requiere por parte de la empresa, organización o
consultor
(a) debe obedecer al objetivo: “Identificar necesidades y recomendar
soluciones TIC basadas en software libre para las PyMEs en sectores y
gobiernos locales seleccionados y ofrecer adiestramiento y soporte
técnico
para tales aplicaciones”.

Y a la actividad concreta: "Actividad 2.3: Adaptación y desarrollo de
aplicaciones generales de software libre para la solución de necesidades
en
PyMEs en sectores seleccionados y gobiernos locales seleccionados".

Esta contratación se basa en el Estudio: "Necesidades de apoyo
tecnológico y
percepciones acerca del software libre en el sector de Pequeña y Mediana
Empresa con las actividades de artesanía, turismo y comercio detallista”
elaborado para el proyecto por Fundación Acceso.

El objetivo fundamental de este proyecto es promover el uso del software
libre
en Costa Rica para crear y fortalecer capacidades en tecnología de
información
y comunicación (TIC): 1) en pequeñas y medianas empresas (PyMEs) en
sectores
seleccionados con el fin de incrementar su eficiencia y competitividad y
2) en
gobiernos locales seleccionados con el fin de ofrecer más y mejores
servicios,
particularmente relacionados con la promoción de nuevas PyMEs y de
apoyar las
existentes a nivel local. Este fortalecimiento se llevará a cabo
mediante
investigaciones y acciones de extensión y otras de creación de capacidad
por
parte de este proyecto.

Para lograr este objetivo, se proponen dos estrategias: 1) promover el
uso de
software libre en PyMEs y gobiernos locales para mejorar su eficiencia y
productividad mediante el uso de software libre apropiado y de servicios
TIC
tales como comercio electrónico, negocios digitales y gobierno
electrónico y
2) estimular a PyMEs TIC para que desarrollen y apoyen aplicaciones
libres y
basadas en software libre, favoreciendo de esta manera la adopción y
utilización de software libre por parte de otras PyMEs y de los
gobiernos locales.

Aunque el software libre será utilizado para crear las capacidades TIC,
debido
a las ventajas de costo y accesibilidad del mismo, este proyecto está
basado
en el principio de neutralidad tecnológica. En este sentido, el
software
libre será presentado como una opción viable para las PyMEs y los
gobiernos
locales, el cual frecuentemente no es considerado ya sea por
desconocimiento o
falta de apoyo técnico.

Provide On-line telephone IT technical support to end users on their
mobile and desktop platforms. Support consists of high level expertise
on standard software application packages and the environments and
platforms in which the business operates (desktops, laptops, remote
access, messaging, etc. Needs to quickly diagnose triage issues and
deliver a high level of customer satisfaction. Training will be provided
to guarantee success.

Qualifications:

IC Design and Verification Engineer

Job Description:

An ASIC Design and Verification Engineer is expected to perform some or
all of the following:
Design - write and document Verilog for block(s) in the ASIC.
Verification - own and create test plans, test infrastructure (test
benches), and tests for ASIC simulation at the block and system levels,
for pre-silicon simulation and/or post-silicon verification.
Architect and design microcode for the ASIC.
Perform ASIC testing to ensure that ASIC functionality is to
specification and performs as intended.
Lead design reviews of your code, test benches, and/or tests.
Participate in design reviews of others' IP modules, test plans, test
benches, and/or tests as appropriate.
Use of revision control techniques and tools to control any files you
modify.
Use of bug-tracking tool to log and track failing tests and/or chip
bugs.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's (undergraduate), Master's (graduate) or Ph.D (post-graduate)
degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical
Engineering.

Experience includes:
ASIC design and/or verification experience, ideally doing some
high-level verification coding using tools such as Specman E, Test
Builder/C/C++, and/or Vera. Experience with Verilog, UNIX, perl, tcl a
plus. Should have working knowledge of product lifecycle.

Expertise in one or more of these areas: digital design, computing or
communications systems, Ethernet LANs, ASIC design, ASIC simulation,
ASIC post-silicon verification, ASIC microcode, formal verification
(equivalency checking, model checking), productivity enhancement,
scripting, etc.

CAD tools and methodologies: Verilog, Specman & E, VisualHDL, Undertow,
SignalScan, coverage tools, etc.

Skills
Demonstrated ability to understand an ASIC development lifecycle
Logical problem-solving skills
Ability to develop and maintain partnerships with those outside one's
own work group
Customer interaction skills
Fluency in English and local language
Commitment and self-motivation
