SENIOR JAVA PROGRAMMER


Position Summary

The Senior Java Programmer will have a prominent role within the
organization working on a variety of exciting initiatives. The candidate
must be a self-starter who is comfortable working with a small team in a
fast-paced environment, and is committed to delivering quality software
solutions.

Functions:
Create highly secure Java base web applications
Design, develop and test software
Build unit, functional, and integration level tests
Responsible for full life cycle development
Develop across the entire stack, including front-end (JSP),
business-tier, and database-tier
Strong involvement with technical design reviews and peer coding review
sessions
Perform other ad-hoc duties as required

Qualifications:
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Physics, or Math
Excellent verbal and written communication skills ( 100% Bilingual)
Proficiency in Java SE (1.4 or 5), Servlet 2.4, JSP 2.0, JDBC, and SQL
5+ years Java/J2EE web application development experience
5+ years of experience with web services and client server architectures
5+ years working with Object Oriented Architecture and using proper
design patterns
View-Layer Frameworks like Struts2/JSF2/Etc
2+ years of hands on experience with design, architecture and
implementation of back-end technologies such as Spring,
Hibernate,JPA,JMS, JMX
Understanding of version control systems, such as CVS or Subversion
Strong experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL or
MsSQL
Web Services and web services frameworks
Writing SQL, Stored Procedures, Table Creation Scripts, etc.
MVC and UI development a PLUS (i.e. CSS, JavaScript frameworks, DHTML,
Ajax, Velocity and YUI)
Strong experience in developing dynamic and distributed applications
Apache, Tomcat, and other open source technologies

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and
independently
