OFERTA LABORAL (HP - Java Development Team)

The Java/JEE Developer is responsible for components development, data
interfaces, analysis and design of applications based on N tier
architectures. They also provide support and maintenance, program
modifications, performance tuning, problem solving, debugging, gathering
and writing technical specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Be responsible for participating in the development, maintenance, and
enhancement of applications/components while assigned to project teams
within an assigned business unit or corporate department, tasks include:

1. Standalone and Web applications programming
2. Data interfaces and database components programming
3. Analysis and design
4. Technical specifications - gathering and writing (UML)
5. Report development
6. Program modifications
7. Performance tuning
8. Problem solving
9. Debugging
10. Provide support and maintenance


Familiarity and experience with project methodology and change
management methodologies. Well experienced with full software
development lifecycle (SDLC).
Assess available technologies
Recommend solution options
Establishing a detailed program specification through discussion and
interfacing with clients
Devising possible solutions to predicted problems, evaluating other
options
Working as part of a team, this may be established purely for a
particular project, to write a specific section of the program
Combining all elements of the program design and testing it
Testing sample data-sets to check that output from the program works as
intended
Reacting to problems and correcting the program as necessary
Evaluating the program's effectiveness
Increasing program operating efficiency and adapting to new
requirements, as necessary
Consulting manuals, periodicals and technical reports to learn new ways
to develop programs and maintain existing skills and knowledge.
Self-starter able to work under broad direction and able to meet project
and development milestones.
Thought leadership and innovation is a must

Qualifications:

2+ years of hands on experience with design, architecture and
implementation of back-end technologies such as Spring,
Hibernate,JPA,JMS, JMX
Understanding of version control systems, such as CVS or Subversion
Strong experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL or
MsSQL
Web Services and web services frameworks
Writing SQL, Stored Procedures, Table Creation Scripts, etc.
MVC and UI development a PLUS (i.e. CSS, JavaScript frameworks, DHTML,
Ajax, Velocity and YUI)
Strong experience in developing dynamic and distributed applications
Apache, Tomcat, and other open source technologies

independently
